Wie maakte de beste muziek waarin geld het onderwerp is? Dat is de kernvraag voor de Follow The Money top 100 aller tijden. Het slijk der aarde is na de liefde een van de belangrijkste thema's in de moderne muziek. FTM vraagt nu zijn lezers om de beste en de mooiste aanbevelingen te doen en op te sturen naar info@ftm.nl. Voor de duidelijkheid: het is niet zo dat de titel van het nummer het woord "money" dient te bevatten. Het gaat erom dat op een of andere manier geld, maar ook hebzucht en aanverwante zaken in het muziekstuk voorkomen. Het is ook niet zo dat popmuziek als enige muzieksoort mee mag dingen. Klassiek (Der Ring!), Jazz, blues en andere muzieksoorten spelen ook mee. Ieder persoon mag tussen de 3 en de 10 nummers aanbrengen in volgorde van belangrijkheid. De inzendingen zullen aan het einde van deze week resulteren in de defintieve Follow The Money top 100 aller tijden 2011.

Veel nieuwe binnenkomers in de FTM T.H.A.T. (Top 100 Aller Tijden). Meest opvallend is de nieuwe nummer 1, No Banker left behind van Ry Cooder en de opmars van Money van Barrett Strong, een song die met name door de Beatles beroemd werd. De Rolling Stones maakten er ook een cover van, maar die van de Fab Four staat bij de meesten toch het meest in het geheugen gegrifd. Nieuwe binnenkomers kwamen uit de punk (onder andere Dead Kennedy's met Kill the poor en Patti Smith met Free Money), jazz (Peggy Lee) en eind jaren tachtig pop (Amanda Lear met Gold).
